Similar in character to Lincoln Park but further north, modern and vintage high-rise buildings line Lakeview’s lakefront, while the majority of the neighborhood is comprised of older frame houses, graystones, newly constructed single-family homes, and multi-unit buildings. In recent years, several warehouse and commercial buildings on the busier streets have been turned into residential lofts. Lakeview runs from Lake Michigan to Ravenswood (1800 west) and from Diversey Parkway north to Irving Park.
